Courtney Guhl, M.Ed., is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and National Certified Counselor. With over 15 years of experience in counseling, Courtney has worked in various settings, including non-profit, schools, and private practice. Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and Master of Education in Counseling from Texas Christian University.
As an interactive, solution-focused therapist, her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Courtney utilizes multiple therapeutic modalities including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, nature and ecotherapy, child centered play therapy and directive play therapy. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain personal growth.

Amber Harville, LPC, NCC
Amber Harville, M.Ed. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She enjoys working individually with clients of all ages and backgrounds including adults, adolescents and children. Since 2012, Amber has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings, including schools, behavioral health facilities, private practices and nonprofit agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston. Amber is currently completing the requirements for certification as a Registered Play Therapist.
As a therapist, Amber focuses her work on building warm, trusting relationships with clients in order to encourage a deeper understanding of themselves and those around them. Working with a variety of therapy perspectives, including client centered therapy, solution focused therapy and mindful self-compassion with adults and adolescents she provides an environment that is encouraging and supportive. Amber also specializes in play therapy and has training in child-centered play therapy, play based cognitive behavior therapy, and expressive art therapy. When working with children, her goal is to nurture children’s development of emotional vocabulary to identify and express feelings that contribute to their behavior and build helpful and healthy coping strategies when difficult emotions arise.

Emily Wallen, LPC
Emily Wallen, M.A., has over 15 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has worked in the mental health field in various settings, including psychiatric inpatient, mental health partial hospitalization, substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation, and private practice. Emily earned her Bachelor of Art in Psychology from the University of Houston and Master of Art in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.
Her approach working with adults, adolescents, couples and groups focuses on positive psychology, cognitive behavior therapy, meditation and therapeutic writing. Emily values each individual and the importance of supporting and encouraging their individual growth in therapy. She provides a more holistic approach to therapy with inclusion of mindfulness techniques and connecting with nature including ecotherapy and exploration outside of the office setting.

Sarah Gill, LPC-S
Sarah Gill, M.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 10 years of experience in counseling with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked in various settings, including hospitals, non-profits, and community agencies. Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Austin College and her Master of Science in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University.
Sarah believes a trusting, therapeutic relationship is at the center of all work between client and counselor and is imperative for positive change to occur. She utilizes various counseling techniques including solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral, all while maintaining a person-centered perspective. Sarah believes that the client is the expert in his or her own life experience and recognizes how vulnerable it can feel to share those experiences with others. She is eager to walk alongside clients as they overcome life hurdles, past and present, collaboratively.

Emily Millican, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Emily Millican, MSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years experience and is a board approved supervisor for Licensed Master Social Workers. Her experience has included working with children and families in a variety of settings including schools, child advocacy centers, behavioral health settings and medical settings. Emily received her Bachelors of Science in Social Work from Abilene Christian University and her Master of Science in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington.
Utilizing theoretical application of solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, client centered perspective, family systems and play therapy techniques, Emily tailors therapy to each individual client need. She works with clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, family conflict, chronic illness, military family, and autism spectrum disorder. Emily truly focuses on meeting the client where they are on their journey, identifying goals and strengths with encouragement, compassion and enthusiasm. Her hope is to help facilitate client’s healing, with focus on relationships, coping and outlook of the future.

Debra Flores, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Debra (Dee Dee) Flores, MSW, is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose experience includes working with families in crisis, trauma, anxiety, depression, bullying, healthy relationship building, abuse, foster care and domestic violence. Her experience in her master’s program for social work has spanned many counseling environments including an advocacy center for children of abuse, working as a victim advocate for victims of violent crimes, school counseling for children with learning disabilities and social skills deficiencies, and a domestic violence agency for men, women, and children. Dee Dee is a parenting coach for individuals who have experienced a high conflict divorce, focusing on communication skills, co-parenting and strengthening relationships with children.
Dee Dee utilizes an eclectic array of evidence-based therapy techniques including solution-focused therapy, family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and is currently working on her Registered Play Therapy credential. Dee Dee uses a strength-based, compassionate approach. Her goals are to educate clients on how they can empower themselves to face life’s challenges and help clients heal and live with improved mental health.

When working with clients, Alexandra uses a solution-focused approach to help clients build on their strengths and work towards their goals. Madison Villanueva, M.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor. During her graduate education, she gained experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both a non-profit and school setting. Madison earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University.
Working from a gestalt approach, Madison strives to keep clients in the here and now. She believes deepening the awareness of the connection between one’s mind, body, and environment in the present moment leads to greater well-being. In addition to gestalt therapy techniques, Madison uses a number of other approaches best suited for each individual client such as, mindfulness, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Madison works collaboratively with clients during sessions, empowering them to find their own solutions, as they are experts of their own lives.

Kaila Bellinghausen, B.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist – Sex Trafficking and Exploitation. She has training in cognitive behavior therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy, and is currently working towards full licensure for LPC and registered play therapist. Her goal in counseling is to individualize treatment to the needs and goals of each client.
Kaila’s professional experience includes working with children and adolescents who experience an array of difficulties including sexual abuse, traumatic grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and human trafficking. Whether clients communicate their pain through words or use play to express themselves, she hopes to provide a space where they can experience growth and process their experiences. Kaila strives to implement creativity and artistic expression into therapy while incorporating hands on experiences to help clients learn new skills.
As a counselor, Kaila seeks to provide a safe place where your child can share pain and struggles while finding hope and freedom. She believes that trust is the foundation for healing and is dedicated to providing a therapeutic relationship where your child can discover his or her own strengths and experience progress.
Jacob Gordon, Outdoor Educator
Jacob Gordon, B.A.A.S., is a licensed fourth through eighth grade educator specializing in science and outdoor education as well as a Texas Parks and Wildlife Instructor for hunter safety certification, angler certification, boater safety certification, and National Archery in Schools (NASP) certification. He is certified in wilderness first aid and land navigation through National Outdoor Leadership Schools (NOLS) as well. Jacob earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from The University of North Texas.
Spending years working in the outdoor education field working in non-profit organizations and school environments, Jacob has learned valuable skills and practical knowledge that he enjoys sharing with others. As an educator, Jacob focuses on experiential activities and real world applications. His facilitation of outdoor education has provided hundreds of participants the ability to learn real outdoor skills and earn certifications through Texas Parks and Wildlife. It is his hope that people of all ages gain the ability to find themselves through nature.

Grayson Pleasant, Clinical Support Staff
Grayson has worked with Terra Therapies as Clinical Support Staff since June of 2020. She is currently a master’s level student at the University of North Texas, studying Counseling. She aspires to work with the deaf and hard of hearing community as a future counselor. Grayson is one of the first faces that you will meet when coming into our office or calling us over the phone. Her friendly smile and bubbly personality welcomes everyone who enters our doors.

Mirthel has a law degree from the Catholic University of Nicaragua and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Before relocating to Texas in 2019, she worked in a variety of international environments including the United Nations and the American Embassy in Nicaragua and Paraguay. Mirthel has a passion for helping others and is motivated by a call to serve people in their personal development journey. Mirthel is one of the first faces you will encounter at Terra Therapies over the phone or in our office. She strives to help all clients feel welcome to the Terra Therapies office with her caring personality and professionalism.
Nabiha Naqvi, Clinical Support Staff
Nabiha Naqvi is part of our clinical support staff. She completed her masters degree in special education at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to relocating to Texas in 2021, Nabiha worked as a behavior therapist, specifically with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Nabiha is committed to helping all clients and therapists with compassion and professionalism.
