Josephine “Josie” Murillo (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor. She has been working with clients at Terra Therapies since 2022, supporting individuals and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Her counseling practice is rooted in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a strengths-based, goal-oriented approach that helps clients identify their strengths and build practical solutions to challenges.

Josie also has experience working in a Lower School setting, where she supported students’ emotional, social, and developmental needs. She has a strong passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families, with a particular interest in child behavior, emotional regulation, parenting support, separation, and high-conflict divorce. Josie incorporates play-based interventions and positive, developmentally appropriate behavior strategies to help children better understand their emotions, develop coping skills, and navigate challenges. She also values collaborating with parents to foster healthy communication, strengthen family relationships, and support children through difficult transitions. Josie is committed to creating a supportive, empowering space where children and families feel understood and equipped to grow and thrive.
