Brian Westendorf, Masters Level Student Provider

Brian Westendorf (he/him) is a master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. He works with teens and adults across the lifespan, with areas of focus including ADHD, anxiety, depression, technology addiction, men’s issues, motivation, behavior change, and mental skills for athletes and professionals. Brian brings more than 25 years of experience supporting youth and adults through coaching, education, wellness, and relational work. His background includes supervised individual and group counseling in a school setting, adolescent social-emotional groups, mental-skills, and mindfulness coaching.

Brian’s counseling approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based. He draws from Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based practices and psychoeducation to help clients better understand their patterns, develop useful skills, and move toward changes that matter to them. His background in biology, athletics, and yoga also informs a whole-person perspective integrating the mind, body, behavior, and health.

Brian is supervised by Courtney Guhl Huckabay, M.Ed., LPC-S, RPT-S™, NCC.
