Kaila Bellinghausen, B.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist – Sex Trafficking and Exploitation. She has training in cognitive behavior therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy, and is currently working towards full licensure for LPC and registered play therapist. Her goal in counseling is to individualize treatment to the needs and goals of each client.
Kaila’s professional experience includes working with children and adolescents who experience an array of difficulties including sexual abuse, traumatic grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and human trafficking. Whether clients communicate their pain through words or use play to express themselves, she hopes to provide a space where they can experience growth and process their experiences. Kaila strives to implement creativity and artistic expression into therapy while incorporating hands on experiences to help clients learn new skills.
As a counselor, Kaila seeks to provide a safe place where your child can share pain and struggles while finding hope and freedom. She believes that trust is the foundation for healing and is dedicated to providing a therapeutic relationship where your child can discover his or her own strengths and experience progress.
